Explorer Search and Rescue
(Pierce County Unit)


Young men and women (age 14 and older) who, as volunteers, help the Sheriff's Department with the search for and recovery of lost individuals and provide ground search personnel for evidence searches. They're extensively trained in Wilderness Navigation, Survival, Search and Rescue Techniques, First Aid, CPR, Communications and Evidence Search Techniques. ESAR members are trained and dedicated ground search personnel. http://www.pcesar.org
